Hattie Jane Smelling the Flowers!

One of the things my granddaughter Hattie Jane has learned early is to sniff. So everytime she sees a flower she sniffs. So today we went out to the front door to smell the flowers. She sure did alot of sniffing. Then she spied a praying mantis. Oh did she get excited. I think that could have been the first time she had seen any form of bug. So Hattie is walking all over now and her parent say she walks like Frankenstien. She is now 14 months..
I so much enjoy everyones blog. This morn I was so much reading others blogs that I lost track of time and got dressed just in time for my little Hattie to show up for me to babysit her for the day. Anyway bye for now...Sally

My daughter went through this phase when she was 20 months and it lasted til she was about 5. She got stung sniffing one flower. It just kinda ended it right there for her. This little one is precious. Just adorable.

Geez, what a cutie. I love kids with dark hair because mine all had light hair. Leah had dark hair for about three months and then it was gone! Also, love her name. One of my great aunts was named Hattie Ruth, and I could never figure out why they always called her Ruth. I envy you your time with her. My days are almost over and I'll be a part-time grandma again. Boo Hoo.

Thanks for stopping by to visit! I'm so very sorry to hear about Hank. We've lost dogs before, and it's so hard. In fact, just sitting here typing this is making me tear up for you. We currently have 3 dogs and one temporary foster we're trying to find a home for. Big (((hugs))) to you!!!

Hattie is so big! I can't believe how much hair she has. Mom has been converting some slides to the computer and she did some of Davey and I at about the same age-I was bald as a billiard ball. Grant is as well so far. but he is cute as well-Grant is also a sniffer.

Last night he got it into his head that a brown tank top of nichole's folded ont he dining room table was a cheetah and was scared to death. We finally had to take him over and Nichole had to put on the tank top before he would believe that it was OK. So silly.

Hi Sally! Your Granddaughter is adorable!!! Thanks for coming by to say hi. I was thinking about doing a design on the computer and then printing it on iron on paper. I don't know if the colors will turn out dark enough but I suppose I could always darken them with fabric paint. I'm in the middle of sewing many pillows for my home because I decided to finally change the rooms the way I've always wanted them. That means lots of new pillows (and I really don't like to sew.) But it's cheaper than purchasing them and I get to design them myself. I would love to see a photo of the pillow you stenciled. Can you do a post about it??

Sally,
Thanks for coming by. I know how you feel it is hard to figure out how to do some things but just keep trying..trial and error and eventually you can figure most things out. Your granddaughter is a doll. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Well your little Hattie is absolutely adorable (such a cute name too)!!! My 2 yr old also loves to smell flowers, it's so cute, until she decides to yank the flower off! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
