Shabby Old Metal Chair with a Rose!

I found this neat old metal school chair and loved the color...and immediately wanted to paint a rose on it. I then took it to the Rusty Pelican Antique store..I have a space there and if you have never been there you are missing out on a great experience. The decor is fantastic and beautiful wonderful antiques all displayed to give you lots of inspiration. It is located in Richland Washington.Eastern part of the state. So drop by there if you are around our area. So back to painting..Sally

Hi Sally,
I am located in Spokane and I have my own shop. I have not heard of the Rusty Pelican but I will have to stop by next time I am in town. I have family in Pasco.
I love your roses...much better than mine. Are you self taught? Leslie @ Orphaned decor.

Hi Sally,
your chair is stunning. the perfect color and a gorgeous painted rose. You are a real artist my dear. I'm green with envy as i never could make it with tole painting. bought books and tried my hand at country painting but tole painting (I guss this is what you call the painting technique you use) is way too complicated for me. I'm glad i've come across your beautiful blog as I can thus admire your amazing roses. After all we do have this one thing in common:the love for ROSES!!
Have a great weekend!

Hi Sally,
My store's name is Orphaned Decor. We are on 2030 N. Hamilton. We do new, vintage and previously loved goodies. Mostly I have vintage goodies. As you know it is hard to find things like that and they go really quick in the store. I do windows too. I paint pretty much anything that does not move.
If you ever want to put some stuff up in here in Spokane let me know. I have lot's of pink ladies - shabby chic lover's - they would love your roses. Too bad you weren't up here...you could do some classes for us. Leslie

Hi Sally
About the cup cakes tutorial:
you can use old ones or new ones. Mine are old ones found at fleamarkets, but you should be able to find some in stores that carry bakery hardware too or on ebay. Jello Molds can work too.
Feel free to email me at tinybear@mail.dk if I can be of any help.
Have a lovely day

I adore this chair and you are so lucky to know how to paint roses. I wish I had that talent. You left me a comment on my blog, but I couldn't respond as it didn't have an email attached for you. To answer your question, yes, I do have a booth at Monticello. Hope you can make it there sometime soon. Lots of great stuff!

Hugs,

Lisa
